Common use
Careprost (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) is used to treat open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension by lowering intraocular pressure. It is also widely used for cosmetic purposes, especially for eyelash growth enhancement.
The active ingredient increases the outflow of fluid from the eye, reducing pressure, and stimulates eyelash hair follicles to produce longer, darker, and thicker lashes.
Dosage and direction
For glaucoma, apply 1 drop to the affected eye(s) once daily, typically in the evening. For eyelash growth, apply 1 drop using an applicator to the upper eyelid margin only.
Do not apply to the lower lash line. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
Using the product more often does not increase its effectiveness and may raise the risk of side efects.
Precautions
Before using Careprost, inform your doctor if you have:
Eye infections or inflammation
Previous eye surgeries
Retinal conditions
Liver or kidney disease
Contact lenses should be removed before using the drops and can be reinserted after 15 minutes.
Careprost may cause gradual darkening of the iris, eyelid skin, and increased brown pigmentation. These changes may be permenent.

U.S. Sale and Prescription Policy
Careprost is not officially FDA-approved for eyelash growth in the United States. However, its branded counterpart, Latisse (also bimatoprost), is FDA-approved for cosmetic use and requires a valid prescription.
For glaucoma treatment, bimatoprost ophthalmic solutions are regulated and also require a doctor's prescription. Purchasing Careprost online without a prescription is not legal in the U.S., although it may be available internationally.
Cosmetic use should always follow medical advice to avoid adverse effects.
