To make a referral or for more information, contact our Admissions Department at (570) 271-5110 or (800) 232-8260. One of our rehabilitation liaisons will respond within 24 hours to set-up a time to perform a pre-admission screening and coordinate transfer to our hospital.

Home Evaluation
The hospital provides no cost home screenings for individuals who might benefit from rehabilitation. To facilitate a screening, the individual, a family member or a healthcare professional should call (570) 271-5110 to request a home evaluation. A liaison will visit the individual's home, complete the screening and make appropriate recommendations.

Insurance
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. The hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies as needed.

Referring Facilities
Geisinger HealthSouth makes every effort to work with referring facilities. If there is any doubt whether a patient is appropriate for acute inpatient rehabilitation, please make the referral and our knowledgeable and experienced liaisons will work with you to determine if admission is possible.
